depending on how good your bus is investing in your bug might be the way to go ,cant say from experience with the costs to restore customize or just fix a bug because i have never owned one ,but you may just save alot of money selling the bus ,for me to do a bug the way i would want it would be about half the price of my bus.
but im a bus freak and i love accessories and chrome so the price instantly goes up and doesnt stop

i think you gotta have both. splits are jsut the best for unique cruizing and loading stuff and moving mates from one party to another, going to teh snow and wine tours and so one. then you can have teh obligatory beetle for shows and when you jsut wanna fuss free drive in the sun.
