Shannon\'s Eastern Creek Classic

Forumites may not be yet aware that the Concours at yesterday's (Sunday 8th Aug) Shannon's Eatern Creek Classic in Sydney was won by a VW! It was won by the Wattle Yellow '72 Semi-Auto seen at the Nationals and other Sydney & NSW events recently - sorry I don't know the owner's name.

The event was attended by over 1700 Classic and Vintage cars, with about 30 judged for the Concours. This included Rollers, Veteran cars, Maseratis, and the whole range of Yank Tank and Aussie and European cars, most that have had megabucks spent.

I just think that this was a magnificent achievement tht should not go without mention here. Congratulations to the car's owner!
