Got home and my puter dead!!!!!!!

It will not read my disks to even reinstall XP

On the laptop that I have not had in my possession for over a year

I've had a problem since returning from Valla...

My mouse left button clicks twice most of the time...

My Son who repairs computers etc said He has never seen it before...

You can go into control panel and click in the double click box
and it will work OK most of the time...
I keep adjusting it until it does...
Go back to any program... and the double click comes up again... I keep deleting the next email after I have read one..
and the double click takes to many places I haven't been before...
Any one know whats causing this... its NOT the mouse...

I did a scan with Nortons and it came up with a virus which it quarantined and I deleted...
but its still happening....

My Son was using the computer while I was away, but it wasn't switched on when its supposed to do a virus scan on friday afternoon... so the problem...

Would you believe that my son had left a disk in A drive :jesus

His Danish girlfriend rang me last night on his behalf....saying something about a disk...I thought they were talking boot disks...which failed....

I hate XP it doesn't tell you that you have a disk in a drive like Windows 2000 or earlier did:cussing

And I hate their wizard which never seems to help.....

Trouble shooting used to be a lot easier on the older windows....

go a mac they are idiot proof which is why i use it :thumb:thumb
