Project deadline - next Valla

Hi all,

On the Sunday night, after all the excitement had died down, our club members sat down around our fireplace (converted washing machine!) at our campsite and continued to talk VW's - as expected. As the night progressed we made an agreement:

We would all be driving our next finished projects to the next Valla show, not the cars we took this time.

I know that I have a heap of work to do - in fact I'm not even sure that I know which vehicle to concentrate on!

My question is: did anyone else make a similar promise to themselves or those around them? Would you like to make such a promise now? Perhaps we could use this post to keep everyone enthused and up-to-date with each others progress....

Well I didn't even think I'd see Valla this year but made it up for Sunday...

Next Valla I aim to have our volksrod done. Fully legal and engineered. And the couple of years of planning and changing of mind and investigating should show.

Been in the works for far too long and it needs to get out before too many are hastily done.

i will have beast back on the road and it will be kickin with its new body

i said my splitty would be finished for the last Valla, not the one thats just happened but the one before.
Im still no closer, should be ready for the next one though.

no car is ever truely finished or thats what i believe. thats why i said ill have it on the road

I hope by the time the next Valla rolls around I'll actually have a VW all of my very own (and working).

Yeah I set 2003 Valla as my deadline...then revised to Dubs by the Pub 2004....then Valla 2004....

now defintely dubs by the pub 2005....hopefully 😠

my plan was to have mine done by the valla that just passed but i got distracted by other VW's hopefully by the next valla i will have my panelvan done and maybe on the market so i can do my 55 splitty🙁🙁🙁 or just fully customise it with bags and all im unsure!
only time and money will tell!!
