On the rear bumper....just to the right/drivers side of the engine lid...so it doesn't knock?
That's were I'm imagining they go........

Nah....I picked up a pair of very cool Bosch fog lights with eyebrows for the front....
The bullet indicators are going below the bumpers......
Bel's gunna light up like a Chrissy tree.....

Ouch...looking at the pick of front I think the bonnet is going to hit the foglights?...Maybe just miss....but not much distance to spare if it does...

They are a bit reluctant to fix up the 4 holes in the boot where the number plates used to be scewed straight onto her body...I am wanting the plate bracket which I gave them....Dunno if I'm being too unreasonable?

Put 2 on then it does not matter.
Boris has the correct brackets for these if you aint already got them ???

Got the bracket from Boris in that order I did...they have it...

OK when you're having some one do a resto for you...write everything down for them on a list...things you want done differently to pre resto state...
Like mounting the rear number plate....
Bel has been painted up and I have 4 holes I don't want and a bracket that was over looked....It's been an easy mistake...
I'm going for the bracket still....
Can someone post me pics of how they are mounted....side angle pic etc...

The guy in the US who I got the pop outs off of had the fog lights on TheSamba as well....I couldn't resist them...They're a bit different...
Got the reversing light off of 65busser last year when I was in gathering mode.....

That all looks great Jen. Just wanted to say that I like the number plate screwed to the rear lid. (Just my 2 bobs worth). It curves over the lid and looks period. You can put a thick clear tape (I've got some), on the back of the plate so it doesn't damage the paint. Fogs look great, and the reverse light looks very happy to be in action.

yes the most important part when restoring or modifying a car is the LIST....
I have done several when restoing cars and or doing the Orange Smoothieeee... and your right there are still bits there i payed ofr atht didnt get done... SO F #$ k is all i can say
MAKE SURE YOU DO A LIST IN LARGE PRINT...

..... that was good to hear, coming from you .....I've been going stupid over this...looking in all my books and mags.....
I haven't looked in my beetle resto book yet...but it mainly covers all the technical stuff....
At the moment I'm comparing this to going to the hairdressers...knowing you want a change but not sure what ...and you don't quite know how to express it...and you usually come out hoping your hair will grow back real fast.........
I think only the girls can relate to this one.....😀

Have a look on Ebay for a light if you dont get one by the time your ready to roll let me kniow as i have some on the shelf which you can replace at a later date.
