Group Buy Posts

Was thinking last night about what another member 'purpleT3' mentioned, why dont we do a group buy post!!, must be the same item each time otherwise it could get messy, like in the post type 3 dashboard that johnno started, run the post for a month and do a group order from the states/uk/germany or where ever! will make shipping a hell of a lot cheeper eh, let me know your thoughts on this, i am happy to deal with the financial side but as i am in tassie we would need a central delivery address..

dosnt have to be one particular vehicle but whatever there is a shortage off at the time

Should have purchase the goods here in Sydney

Not at Sydney prices.
Too many shops are charging too much for stuff, thats why we go direct.
Now that Pacific have started bringing in stuff we might see the others reducing their markups.

Cheers

I've got to agree with 57Kombi. Even with the added cost of shipping and duty, it's often cheaper to bring things in yourself than buy it locally. I'm happy to support local companies, but not when it costs 50% or more than buying from O/S. It all comes down to good old supply & demand, in the past there has been strong demand and limited supply of new aircooled VW parts & accessories. Hopefully things are changing and as the scene grows we can expect more reasonable prices.

Just as a reply to 57 kombi,
This is not meant as a rap for my own business or a slating for existing business's.
Some of the content is also my own opinion.
For too long Australia has been denied the accessibility and choice of many other countries, due to the lack of demand.
We took on a huge gamble when we started to import from overseas and as we see it the home market can grow at the same rate as others if products are made available.
Wouldn't it be nice to see numbers reaching 20,000 at a show like Vanfest.
We are planning on bringing in a container every 6 weeks from the UK and now Germany.
As a bulk buyer we are keeping prices low to the trade and public.
The more we see our trade base grow, the more availibility and accessibility, we will see.
We are constantly being told that our prices work out cheaper than if you go direct, taking into account the postage and duties and GST if you are singled out. Plus the added hassle of parting with you money and waiting months for your items to arrive if at all.
We are here to help you, if you do need a price give us a call and we will see what we can do.
We are working on the order for our second container now.
Use it or lose it.
But at the end of the day it is not all about prices it is more about choice, we are not only bringing in small bling bling items but also heavier items such as narrowed weedeater beams, Rader and MWS wheels, repair panels, complete front ends etc.
On the other hand if you do not support Australian based companies maybe one day there won't be any left.

We are still working on our website, all in good time, a matter of priorities and not enough hours in a day.

Hey, i spoke to roy C/P in regards to some parts that i need and they were vere competative, i recon if we do group buys through classic paciffic they will get a further reduction as they are trade so we can all gain, getting better prices!, Andy
