alrighty...finally gettn the yellow beast to be repaired mechanically...and have booked it into Andrew Dodd's automotive. just wondering if anyones been to him...cus i just heard from word of mouth...and he sounded awesome on the phone. also does anyone know if he does the weber conversion...

I have always taken my VWs to Andrew for repairs and have been very happy. His prices are good and the work is always done right. I still take my Kombi there which is saying something as it is a 300km trip.

ok well the car went to andrew...and you were right buzzbug...his workshop...is littered with shit..i noticed a mound of carbs on a shelf 2 metres long pile almost 30cm high all the way...lol...
but anyway he did an awesme job....but the engine is low in compression on 1 and 2....mainly 2...which is runnin at 60 pound...1 is 90...so its going bak monday to get everything fixed...lol...long list...but what i wanted to know is..can anyone give me an idea on what could be wrong with the low compression? i know its a bit of a wild card..but what could i be looking to pay?

Had some work done by Andrew Dodd this week, the job was top notch, he went everything found more things that neede to be fixed and did these too. I also appreciated his time and willingness to share his knowledge. I would recommend anyone going to see him.
