Coolsearch spyware who knows how to get rid of it

My computer has been hijacked by Coolsearch.

I've tried different methods to get rid of it eg CWShredder and spybot etc.

I've heard it gets into your registry anyone know how to get rid of it. It's driving me nuts.

ps I know as much about computers as i know about nuclear fusion.

Go to this site and download adaware and run it. It should pick it up and get rid of it. These bloody hijackers are a pain in the arse, and the bloody programers they have are getting way to smart. Its getting almost imposible to get rid of these things lately.

Coolsearch is pretty easy to get rid of now...

Use Adaware first run reboot.
Then run CSWShredder - you can get it pretty easy.
Rebbot and run CSWShredder again.

If you are using XP make sure you are up to date with patches and service packs and you'll never see it again.

i've found adaware is good but my comp had some serious infestation and i found a program called spysweeper which I reckon is a lot betterer.

heh..i'm going to be as helpful as i can for this.

webroot spy-sweeper is very good. i use it here and don't have many problems. i also use pest patrol, and cws-shredder on the odd occasion to check.

Cool Web Shredder is a file I have..... if you still have cws I can send you the file in winzip at 113kb in an email.:thumb

and go and have a look at www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ it will tell you what you have on you computer and most of the time tell you how to get it off😉😉

i also use spy sweeper...easy to use and now I no longer have any problems...
