BTW did you guys hear about the bloke who put down $50 on the premiership hat-trick for the Lions? Evidently the TAB is down $2 Mill on that one. If he'd gone for 4, he'd have been in for $20 Mill I heard? Aint life grand!

Evidently the players aren't paid any more than in Southern Clubs, but I haven't looked at the books. Could that be sour grapes from Victoria? Oh well, so much for good sportsmanship!
For me the only advantage to Brisbane is to be able to practice longer because of our weather up here. They also don't have such whingey fans (lvqtm - laugh very quietly to myself).

Basically Brisbane and Perth where given a higher salary cap than the Vic teams to make up for the diatnce issues they dealt with to get players. From last years Audit Brisbane were not the highest paying club so I am guessing they are below the Vic cap anyway .....

I think the magpies (:repuke) were the highest followed by Sydney then Brisbane
