I'm not going to lie (dont need to) but just thought it would be interesting to find out what lies others told
Spook ·
I can't.
I've been driving trains for near 18 years, & was a carpet layers labourer for 8 years before that.
Just try to pad that.........😉

i haven't lied but i have worded things carefully so that it can mean what the reader wants to think but i have had to explain a few times.
i wrote that i "studied for cert 3 .....
instead of just "cert 3 .....
which isnt a lie as i did study and almost complete it.

Nope! The world has spawned a brand new breed of anal burocrat called the Human Resources Manager. These creepy little freaks are paid to misinterpret your resume with gusto. Sorry to all those HR people on board!
My resume reads like it is all made up. I've given a couple of things a polish, but in substance, it's all true. That just got me a whole bunch of OVERQUALIFIED responses in the QLD film and TV industry. So, you have to find the right info for the right employer. It pays to do some research first, and redraft for the specific employer. If the jobs worth getting, then the work will be a good investment of time and energy.
Best of luck Babe!

Only had one resume and i was so young and inisent then theres no way I would have lied. Ever since thin I have been poached from one company to the next. Lucky I gess never had to prove my skill. Now I work for myself and just thru word of mouth I seem to always have 6 months of work backed up. Just stay true to youself and itle all be good.
Cheers Nige

Lying is not good, but glossing over the bad and playing up the good is the way to go.
Keep it simple, also, having interviewed many people the CV's that stick in my head are the shorter ones. I have a limited concentration span and the longer ones loose me !
