Mr Burns and blinky have a lot to answer for if we glow in the dark.
yeah, they are cute though.
You can photo them at other places. I think the weirdest place I have found fairy penguins was in Singapore.
Mind you, an air conditioned room and chilled water may make life a wee bit easier than you imagine.
Some penguins really do make it as far north as the equator, but I don't think they stay for long.

Nah they wouldn't stay for long at all up north they'd miss the thousands of tourists that flock to see them every day of their lives...the flood lights......the audience while they mate (exhibitionists that they are)...whether or not a seagull will scare dem enough to throw up their food to score an easy meal.....all a real challenge and one they seem to come back for night after night....
Hey I did notice that there are individuals amongst them...the ones who land on d beach solo and not in the 'raft'...go left and not right......live alone in d burrow....der d ones who must head north just 4 d adventure

Nah, no aircon in this place......... actually thats a lie, there is but haven't used it yet... only got to 29 the other day, so miles to go before it gets too hot 🙂 I think its a diff species that gets to the equator, ummm.... will look it up.
Okay children, now for todays lesson we find out about penguins:
Galapagos penguins 😀 they live just south of the equator, naturally enough in the Galapagos Islands. But they do keep the rule going, that penguins only live in the southern hemisphere by being south of the equator
As for glow in the dark......... can you say Rudolph???, you didn't really think that Santa was full size did you????????.

We have them here in tassie, 20 mins away you can see flipper prints everyday, 'waddle' waddle' he he, they are soo cute eh

..... they have everything down there Dave... d blowhole is in Tassie .... very spectacular with a good wave .... they spirt good......but we do have dem here 2 ...... 😀

I wonder how many of dem get taken....they'd make a good souvenir.....I'm sure plenty have disappeared over d years

but very very cute jen - i would love to go to phillip island one day and see them for real...but i think i would totally be sucked in by the merchandise ---- GLOW IN THE DARK PENGUINS wowowoow.........i dont care if they've been involved in a toxic spill......they are still super-cute!

have seen them in the wild years ago in Vic around Port Fairy or somewhere, but when I get my bike together i want to go to Phillip Island for a trip.................................
but would need support as I think my bike would be more likely to break than any VW possibly could. Bloody brit things...................

Penguin recipe
Scale ingredients to servings
1 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz Lemon-Lime Mix
Sprite
1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
Pour the vodka, blue curacao and lemon-lime mix into an ice-filled highball glass. Fill almost with sprite, floating the banana liqueur on top.Serve in:
