Speedo calibration

Is it possible to get my kmph 71 beetle speedo re-calibrated? If so can anyone tell me where this can be done. If no, any suggestions where I can get another speedo?

Do you mean recalibrated to compensate for non standard wheels or just recalibrated back to standard?

If you look up instruments or speedo in the yellow pages you will find a few places who can do it.

wow, old post I know.. but is it possible to re calibrate da speedo yourself?

you can recalibrate the speedo yourself..... most speedos have the rpm per kmh marking on them so you can run a variable speed drill to get the correct cable speed and set the speedo to read the correct kmh or mph etc... lots of mucking around and of course you need to know the rpm of your drill, have a short length of speedo cable to fit the speedo etc etc... but it can be done..
Did one at work a few months back..

I know there's the date of manufacture and model part number, then there's a W08 (seeing that the other two numbers read that way up) Any ideas?
