only one slight prob, I don't have pics, yet. am working on it.
So I went out to my first baja. The exhaust flange I ordered didn't come in, so I didn't have an open exhaust.
My first run out I took Brendan in the car, so he could show me where the hell to go 馃檪 It is quite a maze at first!
I soon figured it two things. It's rough, and it's tight. I didn't get out of first gear! (partly due to a 8,000rpm redline I don't really have to get out of first).
Well actually I did get out of first, but it was crossing the finish line.
It's a very cool little track, and congrats to the guys for all the work put into it.
Unfortunately it's not my style. I was hoping for something more open, something I could use 2nd gear and do some good slides! 2nd gear is my fun gear. 1st is too overpowered and I just get lots of understeer and body roll in first 馃檨
It's the sorta track that you want to trailer a paddock basher to. Then you can have some fun. Anyway, better get back to grabbing some pics from my video camera.

once again it was a blast! i'll just say that bash plates rule, and that because of my front one instead of having water come out of my dash i got none inside my boot whatsoever. The course was a lot better set up and built this time, good job! I am soooooooo getting a type 4! Thanks Tim for giving me a ride, it was sweet!
my damage report:
1.ripped off numberplate and ran over it.
2. my donaldson fell off, but zip ties and duct tape fixed it.
3. some wires, maybe an old horn wire, was dragging around-tied it off.
4.the knocking noise in my front end that we fixed is back but not as bad. gotta adjust linkpins again.
5. not damage but i left my coolbag and camp chair behind when i left, oh well i'll pick it up next time.

And I fiddled with the footage on the computer to time how fast cars were going down the finish straight, as it was the only place I floored it. Interestingly my baja was taking 2.5s, and Brendan took 3.5s. Ah, sweet HP. Unfortunately my suspension wasn't up to the same level so I couldn't use any of it 馃榾

Very sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet pics its a great days fun had by all and the air time i think there was a few mad men on the lose i think there was apox 4ft at least under brenden and the towd very cool as for the fastest time i think that was taken by dyno nice job dude and the most crazy thing i have seen is rob in the buggy getting huge air through the mud hole and then hitting a tree as he could not see a thing, as for the funniest think that goes to gorden getting hammed by brenden with the hose and then getting thrown into the dam and then going swimming in the mud hole funny stuff

I got some video footage from in my car as well, but it's not as exciting. As you can tell from Brendan's car footage he's copping quite a beating in there!
When I set the camera up in his car I forgot he had the black strip at the top of the windscreen and it blocks alot of the view. I should set the camera lower. But you get the idea anyway. 馃榾

I'll make a video of my Baja and post it. I was driving like a granny though, as I didn't want to trash my car.
I would love to know the times. Watching Brendan incar it looks like he's flying, and he does around a 1:25 lap.
Then I watched my car out of interest. It looks alot more sedate, but I still do a 1:30. I was very suprised. It also looks slow cos I can't keep on the throttle without hitting ridiculous speeds real quick. And I just drive real slow on some sections cos I wasn't trying at all. I keep watching it thinking I musta taken a shortcut somewhere or something?
When I post the vid you will see the big difference in style I am talking about, and will also be suprised at the close times. I also didn't have the straps holding the camera quite as tight, so the camera jiggles a bit more in my car.
The video is uploading now, should be up by 7:30.

It was a good afternoon of thrashing Vdubs. Thanks Alec for letting dad use your baja and win the trophy for most consistant times. I would also like to thank Brendan for taking me over the jump flat out.(And Crissy for taking the girls for a lap. I'll be there in my own baja next time.

Thanks all for coming I think we all had a good day. For the 17th October the track will have another edition one where Wes may be able to use second and maybe even third, the 17th will be an interestind day if I can get more than 100 people in total through the gate, our record so far is 82, I will jump the split screen Kombi. That should be interesting. Bring friends and kids everybody will get a ride let me hear the responses, come on I've broken the ice bring on the Baja Kombi's. Keep the bets coming I'll get more air with the Kombi
