has anyone got any photos of swamp coolers. Anyone who has one could you please post it here as I want to make sure the one I'm buying is the correct type.

All of the ones posted above are the newest version of the Thermador cooler, the type that hinges on top of the door, instead of having the prop going to the bottom of the window.

Yep, Rhettro's blackk swampy is an Allstate cooler, which is sort of like Kmart in a way in the States around that time. It is different to JNR356's for two reasons.
1. See how Rhettro has a prop going from the side of the cooler to the bottom of the window? JNR's doesn't have that; instead it attaches at the top of the door.
2. A similar looking cooler, however the Allstate coolers DON'T have vents at the back/ rear of the cooler itself. Hence Rhett can put his Oildrippers sticker on there, where as the Thermador will have 5 or 6 small vents at the rear. I know this is at least the case with mine, which is a prop version.

from what I can gather they're a bit hard 2 find...so whatever u can get your hands on...if something better comes then get it and sell other....well that's my theory 🙂
....d black machine IS hot.... accessories must add some weight though...dunna about d fuel economy 😀
