Wanted, found, and pics of my day whilst NOT being at the swap meet..

Well, whilst I didn't go to the swap meet in Melbourne, I was able to do a few things..

One of which was take a couple of pics at a car show, of which I won't bother you with nor waste our bandwidth on..

Secondly I, and Sikdub, were able to take some pics to consider for the photo competition..

This one, aptly titled:

"In the weeds..."

We also finally managed to head out to an upturned kombi where I retrieved these little beauties..

By the way, in the top pic... Cow for sale.. :P

These rims for those without the keenest of eyes are barndoor rims, and dated 1/54 and 8/54, so they are obviously quite late as far as barndoor stuff is concerned.

Here is a comparison to normal beetle rims, on the left, and a barndoor rim on the right... 15inch v. 16 inch.

16 x 3.50..

Tyres are going to be fun to find.

If anyone has maybe even one of these rims lying around, I would be most interested in buying it..

There is an ol notch in the bushes in the first shot, you could get some part of that too :P:P:P
