Hello fellow Dubbers
wishing you well from Kathmando
Iam very happy to say that in a land of TUK TUKs and Tata's
that I have managed to find at least 1/2 doz beetles and one split kombie (in peices but complete) they even have a rallie (cruise) twice a year
Trafic here is a hit and miss concoction where the most inportant peice of equipment is the horn, it is not used as we do in assie as a rude form but as a way of comunication (like the Herbie Movies)

Nameste (hello & goodbye
Dougie

Hey Dougie... you lucky lucky guy!
nepal is one of the places on the top of my list, it must be an experience for you!
its good to know that there is not one part of this little planet that is untouched by volkswagenism.
take some piccies of the dubs over there and post them up... id love to know how they keep there!
and good luck driving!

Sweet Dougie!!
I saw a few bugs there when I was passing through a couple of years back. Is the rally anything to do with the Aust High Embassy? I seem to remember a picture of a bug on the wall outside the front gate to the compound. It was in some rally up that way.
Anyways, welcome to the forum 🙂
cheers

Sorry

found the piccies, but they are far too big to post. There was one from the 2002 VW rally. I also saw a very sweet looking late bug outside the Radisson, had the scallop in the metal work but no air vents behind the rear windows.
