2005 Volkswagen Dyno Day

I got a chance recently to look at a newly laid slab of concrete. A whoping great slab...

This slab is soon to be a purpose built Volkswagen workshop.

In this slab is a nice big pit - and in the pit is going a dyno.

To celebrate the new shop when it opens the owner is going to have a Volkswagen Dyno Day!

It should be early 2005 if the weather stays typically dry.

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE DYNO DAY WILL COST FOR THOSE VOLKSWAGEN OWNERS WHO WANT TO RUN THEIR CARS UP ON THE ROLLERS!
There has never been a dyno day - and never will be - which will match what is going to be offered!

More information as the time comes closer...

I how you guys are ready to get some consistant runs on the day and give Dave Becker a run for his money this next year.lol. Wish I could be there. Remember to post some pics.

HotRodMatt ·

Not just pics... planing some video of the day too!

ill be there Matt:thumb

barls ·

ill be in if im not at work and then i may even take some time off to do this so i can find out what hp chaos is

HotRodMatt ·

It's not just about HP barls. Although that's what most people would be interested in. The printouts can include HP & torque (called tractive effort when at the wheels) or HP and lambda - the air/fuel mix is of more interest as it lets you know if you are robbing power or running dangerously lean.

The last dyno day was great and this one should prove even better. The facilities will be much better for the spectators and getting on and off the dyno when it's in the ground will be much better than the ramps!

As the building gets closer to completion and a better idea of when it'll be the big surprise will be revealed.

barls ·

cool so long as i have chaos finished by then and have the engine run in again. how are coopgirl and the little one going

zac_smits ·

does it matter what type of vw you bring??(97 golf??)
and where would it be? i'm planning a road-trip up sydney way to see some mates early next year. so maybe we could co-ordinate efforts and i could bring up the 64 type 3.

It would be nice to see a few of those there, who talk alot about how their particularly influenced engines really go, Craig? are you out their..........Craig.

It would also be nice to see if some of the local race cars could get along like Dave Stokers car, Rods Penrose and the Vintage car as well. Then we could see how much horse power it takes to produce a 10 or 9 odd second car.

And just in case you don't know, don't worry because Dave dose, just ask him.

OvalGlen ·

I'll be there.
Last one was great - but this time I'm not bringing Children.!

Type of Volkswagen shouldn't matter.

I will find out exact details as the building comes closer to completion.

zac_smits ·

Just to press the point, hold onto your shorts guys. You will be astounded by what will be on offer for the dyno day!

You will never get a chance like this again!
