if you need the puk code ring your providers help line and they can help you

yeh..just ring up the provider of your sim card..easiest way. i locked min here in the uk. got onto orange and had the code in like 10mins.

i got given this phone and it is locked its a 7250i just says sim is invlaid and when putting in my optus prepaid sim card it just beeps 3 times when trying to call
not sure what code i need?

ahahahaha i know it sounds dodgy but a mate got it off a back of a truck and then he got sick of trying to work it out so gave it to me.

im aftraid a 7250i is a DCT-4 Phone, and the imei cannot be changed.. if it were an older phone (DCT-3) then you would be able to make it useable..
i know somone who can probably help you out though.. if he can't, then it can't be done

he reacons its what they called "barred" what happens when its reported lost or stolen?

if it is barred (ie reported lost or stolen) then you need to chnage the imei number which identifies it to the network towers..
it is like the physical address for the phone.. the sim-card, and mobile number attatched to it is like the logical address..
so if you can change the imei number (which you can't because it is a DCT-4 phone) to one that isnt reported stolen, and subsequently locked it will become useable..
*takes a breath*
clarence may offer you a bit for it, because he can use the screen, microphone, speaker atc for marts for another broken or water damaged phone.. other than that it's pretty useless.. you could also hold onto it and wait for the technology to be able to change the IMEI.. but it's still a long way off, and by the time it happens phone will be old anyway
