Anyone know who I should ring about getting a car on a train from melb to brisbane?
Or someone who does Backloading?
Cheers

Does the train go all the way? Thought it stopped in the middle somewhere???

I just tried QR, they dont do freight for cars, only if you want to take your car on holiday apparently, very strange.
byronbus ·

Hi,
TNT seem to handle rail for most operators.
I used them a couple of years ago to send Kombi to Brissie from Perth.
If vehicle is not driveable they charge extra for more staff .
You cannot have anything in vehicle unless you are travelling on same train.
You would be better off psoting for someone who can take a backload.

Cheers fella.
Anyone know any contacts for backloading?
Warrenm ·
Try some of the Brissie (Gold Coast) based race car teams.
They sometimes have empty slots and they know how to look after cars.

I looked a few months ago when I apparently owned a Type 3 in Melb (long story............🙁) thats about the price that I was quoted. The big change came if the car was driveable and locations of pick up and drop off points.
