yeah its amazing how a 1300 churns circles like a v8 in the wet. we had a go in a grass car park in elderslie... there no grass anymore. (me in my beetle, mate in a hilux, brother in giant 4x4).
loved it.
Daniel - if it wasnt for the rain id have to wash my car

My brother discovered what happens when you give a 4.1L Ford Cortina too much throttle while going around a roundabout. He span the car round 180 degrees. Fortunately he didn't hit anyone.
It probably wouldn't have been all that hard to do in the dry either come to think of it.

Me! I found lots of puddles to play in...Yay! Plus we really needed the rain.
Starbug ·
youd have to be a bit strange not to appreciate the rain.
now the grass is greener and my veges arent dying and i dont have to water the garden...
or wash the car

Depends on your situation.
After a few years in the bush, I'm with Sand kombi. Needing rain is when your water is brought in by truck.
If I hear one more city dweller tell me they "NEED" rain as it runs down the gutter & out to sea, I'll probably flatten 'em.

If the g'ment was really serious about the water issue they'd make it compulsory to have a grey water tank.
We live on acreage and with a family of six all our washing machine, sink and bath and shower water atleast goes on the garden which saves using good drinking water.
Not that I use much water watering anyway....theres a lot to be said for planting natives.

hopefully my farm got some....

heh..i'm in england..and all we get is rain!!!
want me to fill up some coke-bottles and send it back for ya???

The rain has been good for everyone by the sounds of it, and yes the government really has got it wrong. A little bit of foresight a few years ago wouldn't see Sydney in the situation it's in.
However, I am looking forward to a little bit of sun - at least so I can get the roof down for a while. 😎
Squiz....
