YAY :bounce
ta everyone. Does anyone know??? if you need a car for work does that entitle you to leasing one?????
jenz58 ·
Didn't they say...need your own transport?
Many provide transport if you are getting others around....what was in print regarding it? Use of own vehicle tax deductable if it is part of your work....but then there is wear n tear....gotta calculate it for the tax man...don't do your own tax...they accountants know what to claim for....
penguin ·
Thought you could lease one regardless of if you need it or not.
Just another form of buying/getting your hands on it I thought
(I lease, but don't 'need' a car for work)
Do you mean as in claim it against tax??? Not sure, any other folk?
barls ·
just salary package it and reduce your taxable income to boot
ducky ·
yeah that sounds good but not sure if my new employer does that????
jenz58 ·
....should this have come before now?
barls ·
cannot hurt to ask
penguin ·
I would hazard a guess that they might as they are a non-profit organisation.
But am perfectly willing to be made a liar on this one :
jenz58 ·
...OK good :thumb
Hey I'm learning......YES ASK NOW!!! Tactfully...unless others say not so tactful........then ignore d tact ..... be clear on where you are...
Mileage is usually included on taxes....keep a record if using your own transport....rough quess OK.....get in the know of what you are entitled to...keep receipts...
You do have to say roughly what mileage you are doing....get an accountant or study up before you make your next tax claim.....
...OK accountants are better cos they are devious and know what they can claim for and know how to get around problems better.... tax department less likely to challenge an accountant.....it's worth the money...unless you are a brainiac and like the challenge n possible stress...
Speak to others in the field!!!
Sorry don't trust the tax department....so many big bastards getting away with millions and the little folk get hit.... NOT FAIR....get in the know

Hey Ducky,
Do you have a accountant ?
If so talk to them about a Chattle Mortgage for a "NEW" car.............😉
ducky ·
yeah my dad told me about that???? NEw car wow havent had one of those in a long time
Desert Moose ·
Make sure you talk to an anountant before you do it but, so they can tell you how to make it work for you😉............... other wise it can be costly:repuke
you need to sell/trade before you pay more the the taxman gives you back...... but shhhhhh don't tell anybody:P lol
