durability test?
Its suprising how long an engine can last running at full throttle for days on end, I think the chrysler hemi lasted something like 20 days.

barls ·

we'll i remember hearing a story about how after WW2 two U Boat engines (Daimler Deisels) ended up in Darwin as emegency power generators. Anyhow they never got used untill Cyclone Tracy blew through and all power to the area was lost with everything else. Turns out that these U boat Deisels were running for something like three weeks non stop to generate power for hospitals and stuff, and I think only one broke down with something minor and the other kept on going. I think at least one is in a museum somewhere. Or a Kombi...

can anyone verify this story?

That is the Nispro XR6-T motor. puts out over 1000hp, and has not failed at all as yet.
