Everyone (well lots of people) suggest putting "chrome" on yer beetle - lots of parts I'm starting to read about are stainless steel or chromed aluminium (or whatever).
Does the term "chrome" cover all shiney bits regardless of what it's actually made of ??:duh

u can chrome plastic im pretty sure cos u can buy plastic chrome hubcaps for ur car etc

but wen i took ma beetle to be chromed i wanted all ma nobs chromed they said it will melt but u can buy dem chromed wen there brandnew the do it wen its made and its mixed in . u could be rite

sorry - I meant does the term chrome mean all shiney bits - regardless of what it's made of - or does it actually mean "chrome" (not does it actually physically cover all shiney bits)

no chrome is its own thing its differant stainless steel is not chrome but ya bumpers are its a covering

I know what your saying but doesn't quite answer my question so I will rephrase it....
If someone said "add some chrome" would that include stainless steel gravel guards (for example) - or are they talking about pure chrome bits (whatever they may be).
Lots of people talk about "chrome" but i'm wondering how general that term is??:duh

nice shiny bits ,gravel guards bubbleheads for the bumpers and automobile badges (nrma etc) whatever takes your fancy,just look at some of the members rides and the ideas will flow
