Ever been pulled over by a cop, just so he could have a look at your car?

I got pulled over the other day by a highway patrol car on the way to Mornington. At the time I thought sh#t what have I done now?

It turned out the guy was a mad vw freak from the old days and hadn't seen a KG for a while and the fact it was LHD, she stood out.

The young female constable with him, just sat here bored sh#tless. Turns out she dosen't like VW's (no taste) just WRX's and other wog box cars.

20min later after dribbleing VW stuff he decides to let me go. My wife wasn't real impressed.lol

Yes, again a Karmann Ghia in London with my west indian mate in the passenger seat just going through Brixton. After checking that the car was in fact mine he apologised to my mate and said ' we don't see too many of these 'round here and any decent cars with a black guy in is either stolen or illegal' he then went on to the usual thing 'why don't you put a porsche engine in it as they're a straight fit'. He waved us goodbye without even checking my tax disc or insurance which had both run out!

Not only police pulling me over for just that, but I have had a number of road worker "stop and go" stop me at the head of the line for a chat. One did it in peak hour traffic and cars behind me begain tooting before he let me go!

I think it's fun, but the missus is not so impressed.

not yet....which really suprises me considering what i drive. But i've had coppers waving at me...they were smiling too...

I have been pulled over by the police for
-for street racing
-suspect for a stabbing at a party

and a dilivery guy followed me and offered me 12k for the car (man i should have taken it!!!)

have been pulled over in my brothers HK Brougham in brisbane, cop got out looked around the car, all the time i am shitting myself.

He walks up to the window and starts telling me how his dad bought one of these brand new in 68 and how he appreciated a nice car.

ive had ppl stop next to my car to have a chat while im in it and about to go somewhere... annoys my passenger tho.
i have had a few old guys chat to me about their bugs while stopped at lights, and then theres workmen... i love a chat but sometimes i really do need to be somewhere aye.

Taking two models down to Canberra for a photoshoot. Copper didn't even takes his eyes off one in passenger seats chest when "looking" at my license.

Reckon if I had have done anything wrong I would have got off with a warning anyway with how much she was showing...

Had a cop pull me over for doing 70 in a 50 zone in the Audi let me go cos his real reason to pull me over was to check out my wheels he loved them 🙂

Had convo's with cops at the lights talking about Shazza and my fuzzy dice they loved em :kiss

I had the same with my old KG. If he'd been paying attention he would have got me for having a Cal plate under my normal plate.

also had people taking photos while doing 125 on hte F3. stopped in traffic in town. had a lollypop lady step out and stop me on the request of hte highschool guys and gals.

yeah but only to check to see if it was legally registered and roadworthy or to have alook to see if the multi colour primer beetle with three surfboards on it was full of drugs:blah

ive had them stop me on the way to the nationals and after having me blow in the bag spent a bit of time looking over the car to see if it was legal. had my old man in the passanger seat who does the unregisted inspections so it was all cool.

had a traffic cop pull me over at 3 in the morning on my way home, i was doing just over 90 mph in a 70 zone(in the uk) when he stoped me he said i was goin to fast and my reply was "come on mate its a beetle they can't go that fast" he laughed at this and then went on to chat about now nice it was etc etc etc and it was great to see old cars being done up instead of all the boy racer machines. half hour later i admited the engine was not quite standard and he waved me on my way. me being me couldn't resist laying some rubber as i left and having the pedel down untill i hit the speed limit. the cop came alone side me and smiled,gave me the thumbs up and dissapered off into the night :P

ok i got one.

there was a night when i was traveling home on the F3, in the splitty, about 11pm, and pouring with rain. my little crappy old 6v single speed wiper was doing its usual shit job, so when ever you passed under the freeway lights you couldnt see stick. so i instead opened the safari, put me sunnies on and kept the boot in. anyway i get to teh weighbridge, and they are pulling everybody over for RBT. so i rock in, soaked with the safari open and sunnies still on. the cop comes over and he opens with ... " wat the fuk do you think ur doing?" i jsut responded heading home. he proceeded to give me grief and questioning hte windows and the safety of what i was doing. he was really giving me a hard time and wanting to go over the bus, until i explained to him that it was no different really to me riding my harley home, and i demonstrated teh crappy effort of my wiper. he then burst out larfing, as to how i could have such a beast with such a crap wiper, and why didnt i upgrade. i just politely told him... 'and sacrifice the safaris, i dont think so'.
anyway after about 15mins. i was off. got home toweled out hte bus and had a nice hot shower.

to make you feel better rob. i also got done one morning in the beetle heading to work. i was entering the F3 at gosford, and i had a bike cop pull me up and claim i was doing 114. point was he claimed i was doing it onthe 55klmh bend approach on to the freeway.
i was pissed as i knew i wasnt.
next day i even tried it and the best i could get was jsut over a 100 when i started to loose traction and drift.
any way, wnet ot court, lost due to my poor track record ( iwas a rep) and got done, 114 in an 80 zone.

I can still remember when they had to follow ya for a certain period of time, and they had a huge Smiths speedo on the middle of the dash. (valiant chargers, Cooper S mini's, and holden XU1's) They had to prove you were driving dangerously IE for the conditions! The pigs as they were then called, used to carry a cut down broom handle to shove up the silencers of my old trumpy to check to see if I had removed the baffels! got me a few times with that one!

Got pulled over cruising in the rat look one night for being to low.
Told the old fella that the shockers were knackered and needed fixing,but
being an old car i had to import them in!
He took the bait.......But then fined me for not having a rego plate on the front.
1 out of 2 is ok i guess.

one afternonn i was on the way home. was heading north in gordon when a cop who had jsut finshed booking someone and was walking back to his car, but suddenly stepped out into peak hour traffic to pull me over. why? ihad no plate on the front. i had lost my back one about three weeks earlier. i had transfered teh one from the front to the back, but decided not a few days b4 the above to get it sorted. the rta gave me a letter to keep while using the car till the replacement arrived. anyway i am jsut about to get into this when he spots a red laid low beetle also with no plate. he thinks we are travelling together,so steps out and pulls him up as well. i never met the dude, but while the cops were goin over our cars, i intro'd myself and we waited. i got off. but he other dude got done no plate.

ok heres my story
driving home going through a circle that is of large size and ya can really get the kombi wound up around it (40km/h)ahahahahaha paddy wagon on the left entry go past
this goes into a dual lane road 100 km/h zone doing my 90 when i see the paddy wagon flying up the outside lane lights on directs me to pullover
pulled over first time ever shitting my pants got out my licence took a breathe test all ok then the other cop goes "dont mind if we search your van do you" i asked why and they just said that i can reject it but they would just drag me back to the cop station and do it by the books
i said whateva anyway 15 mintues later the bed is out checking out my sound sytem all under the seats,engine bay making me poull it all out then says ok thats fine
ask them why and they reply " do u know the previous owner" said only through when i brought the car why ? "well these number plates and car are known as a drug dealing van!!!!!!!!!" WTF?????
ahahahahahahahaa lucky they didnt know i had just got 3 kg's of ec's in the heater tube under the middle seat ahahahahahahahahahaa j/k

I like it, i like it alot!

never had a problem with cops. most of them see its a chick driving and grin and wave. if i ever have a problem i may pull the girl card though. i get stopped alot at the rbt at night leaving the city, but they take one look at me and wave me through. Its amazing what a little innocent grin will get you!😉
