Just wondering where everyone is originally from.
I have noticed a lot of ex-pats on here and have found that there seems to be a large following involved in the old Vws,
Just look at the mags, mostly English( well the good ones are, the latest Oz one is also very good), and also the amount of shows in England is amazing, I know there are more people over there,but getting thousands at shows is great.
Its just that most of the people I have spoken to especially bus owners seem to be British.
I am not trying to turn this post into a slanging match between races, as I love Australia and wouldnt be living here if I didnt think it was the best place on earth, Just interested to see how many are from where.

England shows are all good,but you need to get to the states!!
They make our shows look like a few beetles meeting up to do the vegie shopping.

Gra's only going in the morning as his parents are over here on holiday from England and they are going to the Port on a dolphin cruise in the afternoon.
Waste of an afternoon compared to a VW show I think.....

Oh yea, best beach's around, how i miss them NOT!! scary thing is they still have the nudie beach down madera drive and they have layed sand down there and only there with a big ass chain fence round it. THe normal folk haveto deal with pebble and shite ... oh well it is brighton we are talking bout... not the most normal of towns hey..lol

lol all i know is that it should be banned!!!! u can't miss it as madeira drive is cut into a cliff and you are over 80 feet up on the top road that leads down its kinda hard to miss. all the best clubs in brighton are along the top and just of the drive.... also they hold the london to brighton v-dub run there and drag racing.....

My Dad had a bungalow just down at Peacehaven and I had to go down there whenever I wanted to work on my beetle as the garage was connected to the home whereas my garage in London was three streets away from my house! But compared to the Elephant Brighton was brilliant (as long as you kept your back to the wall-know what I mean)

Born & breed here.
Went o/seas a few weeks back to Holland & Germany.
Visted a VW show over in Holland & got talking to the local guys there.
They all know of this site they keep an eye on it.
& also are aware of our growing VW scene here.
When I mentioned the forum they all come & check it out often.
Although they have never met us they knew who we all
were....by our avatars...... how scary.

Hey don't get me wrong Brighton rocks, its a young person town with so much to do with out the bullshit that comes with living in london. U can be what u want and do what u want with out others bagging you out. Just plain old nasty beach!!!!!
