Don't forget to put ya clocks forward tonight (well those of us that have daylight savings!). And let's hope our curtains don't fade too badly this year:duh

Goodnight....

It's not just the curtains what about the cow's and the crops....

11CAB 路

Well we should wind our clocks forward too......except for our stoopid government....living in the past

vern74 路

I'm with you 11 CAB
We are living in the dark ages ......literally

penguin 路

Nope,
I don't like the daylight saving thing after living in the north for a while.
if they want to try a small section down here in the sth east maybe, but from what I experienced its stupid for way up north and west.

BanoraBus 路

We put on our latex suites each day and do the time travelling trip, Living in NSW and working in Queensland, so everytime an appointment/meeting is arranged it's " is that NSW or Qld" confusion and frustrating for all.

:cry

Gibbo 路

Stupid bloody queensland farmers, sorry but the excuse that it will disturb the cow is bollocks. Im sick of it.
For such an 'Outdoors culture' QLD is really sucking the fat one on this topic.

Back in London I remember long nights by the river, drinking beer and it being light till 9:30 in the evening some nights.

WAKE UP QUEENSLAND!

pod 路

remember that well banorabus馃檨 was a total pain in the ass
but i believe the qld people voted to live in the dark ages:duh

penguin 路

Its not a question of cows and crap.
Thats absolute bollocks! :cussing
Up north QLD has almost 14hrs sunshine, what is the use of an extra 'waking' hour???? The further north in Aust you go, the more useless daylight saving is. Ummm, with London 51 something North there isn't a city or town in Aust that even comes close to distance that south of the equator. Even bloody Johanessburg in South Africa is further north than Brisbane. About 70 countries use Daylight Saving Time. Equatorial and tropical countries (lower latitudes) don't since daylight hours are similar regardless of season so there is no advantage to moving clocks forward during the summer.
UV intensity remains close to peak value between 10am and 2pm, (11am and 3pm during daylight saving) and considering we have one of the worlds highest skin cancer rates, the kids come home from school in the hottest part of the day. (Mind you, with playstations and crap they aren't out in it very much anyways.)
We deal with different timezones across Aust and the world everyday, particluarly if you are dealing with international business.
there was a referendum on it and people said no!.
Its only the folk down here in the sth east corner that really seem to winge abt it all.
What is so difficult to accept about this people???
