that low wagon was sooo sweeet! i want i want i want!
all the cars inside were spectacular in one way or another... didnt like the sunbug though waay too dressy for my likin. but whatever floats your boat.

Lokks like Wayne has had more air brushing done to the Cabrio. That thing goes like a rocket and his wife drives it like she stoll it.

i would of never thought so it was so clean..... that and the air brushing in the wheel well bit at the front (thought it would get wrecked)

pyr0 - Read the article about it in the latest edition of VWMA ( you should have gotten your hands on a copy at the show).
Bone - The extra airbrushing was done last week and only finished with clear coat on Thursday so Wayne could start washing and cleaning it on Friday.

yep, my safari's, and the boys wanna borrow it for a week end. i should do a poll. should i let them? they have made me some pretty extraordinary promises. there is one there i dont think can be kept.

i believe adams car came a respectale third in best custom splitty
he turned that kombi into an exact replica of a late 60s beetle, it was amazing!
unfortunately my car isnt rat enough to be a rat, and it isnt col enought to be cool, so its just kikko. easily noticed byt the large PRESIDENT sign in the front dash. i did not steal that from liverpool catholic club!

I knew someone would mention the flat tyre thing, it must have happened within a kilometer of the venue. Thought it a bit rude to change it mid-show.
Not only that but I rocked up mega-late forgetting about daylight savings, and had to pull-over three times on the way there to clean the fuel filter...I suppose from Canberra thats not too bad and it was the old girls first major outing...
Had a ball at the show anyway!...Thanks Flat Fours.😉

you were right about the additional air-brushing only being completed on the thursday , but the cabrio was hoist lifted on wednesday morning to start cleaning and all of the turbo plumbing had to be removed to finish the air-brushing on the engine and the brakes needed a thorough washing . the cabrio remained on the hoist , being cleaned from top to bottom to remove all the road grime that had accumulated from driving it to the 'german autofest' at canberra 2 weeks before , until saturday midday .
it was the driven straight into the trailer , for the show .
this car does get driven on a daily basis , our kids do go to school and get picked up in it . since march it has travelled 3,500 k's with no turbo problems or overheating problems . AND YES , LISA SHOULD SLOW DOWN!!:sandrine

no , dont own the blue bug as well . just the cabrio and the dark blue sports sedan ( used for hillclimbs ) and the 77' dualcab that we tow both vehicles with . however there is another project in the pipeline , cant say much yet but it wont be given as much detail as the cabrio.
