BLUE_62 ·

Hi all,

I am chasing some parts for my 62 Beetle which i am just recently buying. I am very new to the scene and was hoping someone could fill me in on the best places to look. Firsty i would like some spat guards. Where abouts do i go to find some? And what sort of money am i looking?

Also, white wall tyres. Are these a good option or a bad?
What are the pros and cons.

Thanks for your help.
Regards

white walls get dirty but they look cool and im guessin u r talking about the chrome things on the guards they look nice 2 but water can get in behind tehm and rust from what ive heard

heya 🙂

I assume they call them a spat guard - the big tin cover like plate thats covers the majority of the back wheels? (Excuse my ignorance and stupidity) :P

They look cool but rust........ err, umm, not a huge ran of that stuff like most i would imagine? perhaps away around this?

cheers

Yeah, your after a pair of spats, the chrome things mentioned before I think were dress rings. Chrome rings that you put on your wheels to cover the bare metal/painted section between the tyre and the hubcap.

I think your after fender skirts😎

i`ve always known the as wheel spats, can be bought , look cool on a standard looking car😀

Pod and SAS,

I think we are all basically right. I have heard them called fender guards and heard them called spats.
