I remember a while ago someone was asking about fitting baby seats in kombi's.
We have a 2 1/2 year old and we are picking friends up from the airport in the morning as they are staying with us for 3 weeks and we will be using the split as there will be 4 adults and 2 children in all as they also have a little girl.
I fitted lap seat belts into the firewall and used 5 inch washers, I then fitted the hook through the area above the engine, these come with the seats and have a 2 1/2 inch washer so I might have gone overboard with the 5 inch ones.
As my bus is a 57 it doesnt need seat belts so I dont have to get it checked. I am satisfied that it is safe enough as if I was in an accident and it ripped 5 inch washers out, that would be one hell of an accident
