Anyone go to this years Bendigo swap meet today?, find any good stuff?. Were planning to go tomorrow for a bit of a stick, you never know what vw stuff the ford/holden crowd might have in they're dirty mits.

Yeah, i went, and wasted all of 8 hours walking around in a mud bowl as per the amount of rain we had that previous night. Nothing real exciting. Picked up a VW work shop manual and some other little stuff. Thats about all. All i can say lads and ladies if you didn't go. You did not miss much!

I went three years ago...nothing VW there but it was a great experience...but with this weather....ARGH...forget it...it would have been doubly shite yesterday...today no better

I went up there early Saturday morning.
I got a wheel brace handle for my Truck,
a 18 INCH sidchrome Shifter for $5
( I got it from a 10 year Old his Dad was away, I bet he has a sore Arse now)
2 Wolfsberg Bonnet Badges, a sew on V.W Badge, and a Empi deep sump for my Baja. I'm just worried about ground clearance now, so I might put it on my Dads Beetle instead.
I also got some 35 inch Mud terrain tyres for my Land cruiser, I just have to go the Blokes Joint and pick them up.
All of that and I left there by 11 A.M.

We just got back and there wasnt much vw stuff. Got a nice enamelled st christopher badge and some under dash mounting brackets for some gauges. Did find a reasonable early sixties beetle bonnet and boot but that was already sold. No matter, as it wasnt a bad day for a drive and I bet the year we dont go will be the one where we will miss out on something like a complete hazet tool box for $5. Anyhow, the ballarat one is only a few months away

I got there early Saturday morning it was muddy! I found a very rare Oval Rally Dash Gauge by Smiths,NOS Smiths RPM , four set of NOS door grab handles, VDO Kienzle clock, Hella Fog lights
2 sets both in mint! condition I will post the pictures later.

God damn Bocka. I got there @ 6.15am and yep. Was f**ken muddy. i found 4/5ths of f**k all, but then again i dont know what i am looking for. Good finds. Good to see someone scored well and atleast all the goodies you picked up will be going to a good home. Enjoy. I'll be more prepared next year :thumb
