Best way to treat spots of rust??

hey all, just looking at the square tonight and am finding lots of little spots of rust on the bodywork.

Apart from a total rubdown and respray, whats the best way of treating these so they dont get any worse. Wont be respraying the whole car for quite a while.

I was just going to treat the rust with a converter.....

i have found a good rust preventer is as good as anyhting you can do. as long as it is minor (or surface rust) then a good lick of rust proofer/converter then some form of waterproof undercoat (i believe GMH black works?) should see you right until you repaint.
