Did you know that the name was actually changed round late 63 to
Engineered Motor Products Inc

so it was originally European, then became Engineered.
I thought it was the other way around.
oh well, you learn something every day. 😉

They changed it because they also made gear for jap cars too, such as the datsun 1600!!!

And who said u learn something different everyday. Ok, so it stands for Engineered Motor Products Inc. The translation of that is EXTREAME - MARKUP - PER - ITEM (EMPI) :duh

Extra Money Per Item???

There is a place in Australia that has registered the EMPI name and is putting it on all sorts, Like windscreens, visors.
The original EMPI never made such items so I wonder if he is just trying to make on the name.
Its a shame really as new people who dont know what is what will read the American mags and then go and buy this stuff thinking that it is the real deal.
