Eirinn bought me a nice big jet pilot sticker for the front screen of the baja and although it restricts the top of the screen i can still see where i need to. as long as im not trying to spot aircraft.
is it actually legal to have a whacking great big sticker on your front screen?
its about 45cms by 12cms
has anyone else got a big sticker on the front and can post a pic for me.

jetpilot is a brand of clothes...or was it a motobike thing....meh anyways, people put em on there because with one of them on your car you are a jetpilot :P

if it covers a set percentage of the screen it has to go but i cannot remember the % but i know the one i had was over

its not like i put a huge "Trust" or "HKS" sticker on my windscreen when i dont have trust of hks products on my car i dont really think its that ricerish. yes its a brand they make clothing primarily motox stuff. its white writing with blue outline and a chick in a bikini liying down over the letters. i dont beleive it covers the swept area of the wipers but i was thinking yesterday that it might obscure traffic lights when im stopped at intersections ill have to do a mock up.

Mmmm should know this! From what i can remember it's between 10-15% of the total depth of the glass. On a Beetle with the screen so small i think it will be a no go to be honest.
Thats why you dont see many beetles with toptint ( banded ) screens. The band would be tiny and not worth having. Thats why i didnt have one.
p.s this does not apply to super bugs 1303 etc. That sceen is alot bigger , curved and are available with a decent toptint screen.

I have already got myself one to put on the manx's window ready for when it is replaced (cracked).
Jetpilot is a brand of clothing marketed at the motor bike riders and water skiers (wakeboarders) .
They make an awsome product and sweet stickers.

well i put the sticker on it doesnt look too bad.....i clipped a bit of her knee off so it wouldnt obtrude vision as much.

Mine is just a plain old JETPILOT sticker.
It still takes up a bit of the window but it doesn't really matter because i can't see that section of window with the roll cage anyways.

I would think only a nasty cop who hates Beetles might fine You & tell You to take it off....
It used to be illegal to have P & L plates in the rear window & windscreen but I see them all the time and You can buy plates with holes in them that You can see thru...
I heard on the Radio a few nights ago about 70 New road rules for NSW just released...
"having a Jet Pilot sticker on front windscreen of VW Baja" might be one of these new rules....🙂🙂
