Due to the overseas buyer going cold on the deal when he found out the shipping costs, my 1954 beetle is up for sale again.
It's in original unrestored condition.
Needs a little welding in a couple of areas.
has a re-cond 36hp engine, and also comes with the original matching number case.
has correct year headlight lenses, correct engine lid, and correct bonnet for 1954 model.
of course it has heart tail lights, clunker doors, and semaphores.
interior is a bit tatty, but not unuseable, and by no means unrestoreable. they are the correct 1954 seats, as 1955 on seats are different.
Has fresh powdercoated rims, with atlas inserts on Michelin XZX's thad have done no more than 200km.
the floor pan is in good condition, and only needs a clean up.
the door pillars are solid, and need only minor repair.
the bonnet has a bit of rust in it that would require work.
the panel behind the drivers door is starting to bubble, and would require attention soon.
other than that, it is a complete, driving, original, rare and desirable car.
the car is located in Adelaide.
the price is $5000 or very near offer.
my contact details are in my profile.
thanks, Daniel.

chrisdebug ·
Hi would you be willing to sell just the heart tail lights?
Menangler ·
I reckon he'd sell one of his testicles first!
dragbug ·
You can buy the tail lights and recieve a free oval with it.
Be a pricey set of tail light,s tho......
vwtyp2 ·
that's right.
$5000 for the taillights may seem pricey to some. 🙂🙂🙂
57kombi ·
Yes then he will just sell one of the wheels and if you ask nice he will just cut the rear window section out so you can weld it into your superbug!!!!
Sorry but some people have no idea.
Cheers
Dave
frenzix ·
i bags the rear window cutout
byronbus ·
I'll take the semaphores
sneak_e ·
Maybe it could have the back windows welded up and be turned into................a panel camper! How cool 😉
byronbus ·
panel camper, thats funny...
vwtyp2 ·
thinking now I may keep it.
I'm imagining a bit of this action.
im not after another project, i wanted a running 54 to drive home in...
wat made u change ur mind, is that wat took u so long to get me the pics, coz u were undecided?
vwtyp2 ·
I was in two minds wether or not to sell it anyway.
after talking to a few people about it, they convinced me that I shouldn't let it go.
I'm gonna start work on it after new years.
I've got a whole bunch of fresh pics, just had technical issues sending them.
pmgbus ·
when are we going to loxton to pick up the 2180?...you wanted to piss that slow ass 36hp engine off, why not tee up a drive up the river and we'll bash the 2180 in!slam it, narrow the beam, i might even get excited and weld a bar in the back window too!
nbturbo ·
PMGBUS-did you ever follow up on the split ute at Moonta I emailed you about? Big $$$$$
vwtyp2 ·
sounds the go.
maybe after xmas is outta the way.
definately up for the slammed and narrowed beam.
well, it'd pass for a zwitter, with hearts and clunkers.
how hard is it to get glass and rubbers?
