aha! 6 30. after the crash it seems like sleeping just isnt half as fun anymore. for anyone that didnt know last tuesday after a full weekend, two days of work in a hot shed and a yr 12 formal in between, i fell asleep and crashed my car on the m5.

4 30 am, after a hard days work, as well as chaperoning little brother for his year 10 formal, this little tyke is tuckered out. sitting back relaxing with an awesome vw flash game, im contemplating my achievements for the day... got my mate a job, gave greeedy anb early christmas pressie, applied for a job, took little brother to formal, made a pavalova, picked up little brother and took him to his afterparty (at orangeville... it was byo shotgun) took him home, all without a drop of booze!
tomorrow night i shall not post on the late night dubbers club thread, as i will be getting hammered whilst burning my school work with the rest of year 12 2004... if ur out there and u got sumthin to burn, u2u me and come along we need more dubbers!

It is now 4.10am on Wednesday here in Bendigo, Victoria and i am bored. At work again and being no functions there is nothing to clean, or set up, and not many guests in either. Had one late night arrival about 12.30am but thats all. Not to worry. Getting paid to sit here and read dubber posts.
Bit disapointed... not many people on... am i the only dick head up this late or what? Or is it because i dont have a choice..

alright, so we have had our much needed rain in brisbane... thankfully i changed the wheels and tyres on the weekend before all this torrential downpouring started...
but...
i still HATE driving my beetle in the rain!
i left work at 11:30 to find it was pissing down something furious, with about 5 meters visibility and nice big gusts of wind... last time i drove in these conditions i had an accident so i was feeling a bit freaked. still, made it to the city, picked up my friend and made it back home again.
id like to please see some sunshine tommorow and hopefully it will dry out the distributor.
so who else is up this morning?

Its only 1.22am here in Bendigo Victoria and i'm at work again tonight. We are getting some heavy showers of rain at the minute which is nice. Been having trouble with the beetle so the cool weather might cool me down a little. Its running quite rich all of a sudden and its pissin me off. Now after pulling the air fan out and reinstalliung i must have knocked something as the generator is not charging. AGHHH!

ive tried searching everywhere for jobs, however it has come to a point where every newspaper, magazine column etc etc wants a person with experience. apparently forming, writing and editing the school newspaper for 6 years doesnt count, my black library stories do, however:

not much zac, got home from, watching alexander... i do not recommend it. quite awful.
i absolutely love historical recounts, king arthur, troy, who framed roger rabbit etc etc. but this was a disaster. they forced his bisexuality into the film as often as possible, where other more important aspects of his life should have been covered. i can't believe they couldnt tell the story of a great mans epic saga across the east for best part of a decade. i was bored after the first hour.
oh and on the drive home i realised im in love.

morning all🙂 whats on the cards for everyone today?
im going to finally finish my painting (when i wake up) and decide where its going to be hung up... this is a very big dilemma and one i have been dreading for the past week!!
but now some sad news...
tonight was the last night i will drive my bug for a long time. rust to be fixed, clutch to be fixed, the resto has begun, and it cant begin if im driving around with a f**ked clutch... actually, it cant begin if im driving it at all! :P
also thinking (i.e dreaming) that it should go down another inch while im at it :P if there were weeds where it is parked, i would want them to be freely growing above the running boards (as long as they didnt cause rust)
i dont know how im going to feel about not having my cherry to take me places... though it has happened before and will no doubt happen once more... i will prevail *sniff sniff sob sob*
kinda glad my sister is getting a car this week, and also my best friend finally fixed his volvo... can i get a lift? :P

mine will have to come off the road for a while. the electricals are all screwed up. indicators not working is a bad thing. also having struts, brakes, steering, engine replaced. good news is im going back to 1600 power! with monza exhaust... how german

happened now for the past 3 years... maybe she had a really bad experience at one and didnt want to go thru the pain again.

how long cherry will be off the road? hmmm... dont know. a few months at least. im going to redo the wiring while im at it, and new carpets. should be a good outlet for all the uni stress im going to put myself through this year (i.e. get really stressed out reading a chapter/doing an essay/cramming for exams = go bash around in the car for a while and get covered in oil with sore knuckles to relieve the tension.)
maybe by the time shes back on the road the red paint will have weathered heaps and i can have this tri-coloured rat looker...

i spent today fixing my house mates over heating problem in his 85 toyota corona. nothing like getting covered in radiator coolant (that stuff makes u stink feircely) then replaced fuel filter and did some other stuff. stupid bloody water cooled engines. next ive got to change his oil and replace oil filter and do his plugs.
this thing hasnt had any attention since the late 90's but i scored some maccas so i cant complain about that.
oh and big game hunter is not a very fun game on PS2.

it took me a year to grow my hair the length it was when i got them done (not even shoulder length). now, you can go to a salon and get them done... but my hair not even shoulder length would have cost 400.

work today was insane... two weeks ago i started teaching a drama course for kids with learning disorders... ADHD etc.
as if that doesnt sound hard enough, when i started the class there were 10 students. i come in today and theres 25 of the suckers!!!

when drivin up the bruce hway north take the landsborough exit. when you hit landsborough you hang a left off the main road and go through town (its signed as the maleny exit) the up the mountains.. after a while you'll be goin across the top of a hump and you'll see a sign saying 'montville' begging you to hang a right. keep goin and the next road on your right hand side, about 300m down the road or so is the road to gardners falls. last time i went a couple of months ago the sign had been ripped down so its probably still unmarked.

so how was everyones first day of uni? (well, us of the late nighters that had uni)
uni was hmmm.... short. there was this chick who turned up in the TINIEST shorts and tiiiiiiiiight top and STILLETOS!!! i know its qut and its in the city, but who the F**k does that???!!! its uni!!:puke sure got the attention she wanted tho.
got rained on while walking to work after uni, and i was kinda hoping to get home earlier than 12:30 so i could listen to my new cd: X-dream - We Interface. damn... im just going to have to stay up and listen to it... oh dear! hehehe
its like a dark mix of electro, industrial and psytrance. fannnnnn-frikking-tastic!! very much a soundtrack for any dark sci-fi movie, and probably awesome for playing computer games!

$2.63 HBB, she looked about 17-18, so im guessing (with my limited but well observed knowledge of the human species and the societal structure) that she thought thats what uni was all about, getting dressed up in the latest fashions (or lack thereof) and showing it off to all the people.
unfortunately, from my observations of the general student populus of QUT (as performed from a table outside the merlo cafe) it seems that QUT really is a fashion show, with the girls trying to out mini eachother and the boys constantly checking the other boys muscles out to make sure that theirs are bigger.
everyone keeps an eye on eachothers mobile phones to make sure that theirs is the coolest and most feature-packed (i.e. pointless).
and they sit and stare when i take out my little laptop in class to take notes on and read the lectures. :duh
though this is a sweeping generalisation of the gardens point campus, there are many lovely non-poser people that go there, and they are the ones i end up talking to 😀

the gearing is so high now its crazy. 4th gear isnt an issue unless ur on the highway. and i can do 90MPH and still not rev it as high as doing 75 with the old wheels.:thumb

why is it when you place an ad for accomodation stating "vegetarian or vegan only" that nobody but meat eaters ring up? its pretty frustrating! ive been vege for 11 years now, my sister for 3... my parents hardly ever eat meat now, definitely no chicken and occasionally eat fish.
i think my sister and i should just throw in the towel, and turn the spare room into a study/spare bedroom. weve been living just the 2 of us for 4 months with no $$ problems so i guess it would be silly to upset the balance and harmony by having another person invade our space... and i really could use a study (so i dont have to spend my nights tossing and turning while my head keeps studying... studying where you sleep is very bad for learning)

actually, most of my other days are good, 10am starts 🙂 it still sucks when im at work till midnight tho!
my boss asked me if there was any way that i would be able to work wednesday nights, (this is after my 9 hours at uni) please please please... i said no. This was 1 week after my first wednesday night off. its scary to see how badly work falls down when im not there (because people are so damn incompetent and unorganised, not to mention when it gets busy!) but it makes me feel good that even though i am casual, i have a stable job with a minimum of 30 hours per week on casual rates, and while the company has forced casuals to become perm. part timers, i have told my boss i cant take the pay cut, so i got to stay casual. the one good thing about being indispensable.
i guess if i was getting paid less i would have stopped putting up with this shit a long time ago.

starbug i know your pain all too well. my work has some system going where we as casuals only need 8hrs between shifts (up to 10hrs straight) and it happens quite often (work in 24hr job) so you can be at work for 16hrs of the day, getting progressively less sleep and narkier by the second.
a wednesday sounds fine for a catchup ale. i'm at uni till 8pm on wednesdays. my lecturers accent is so strong i often need a beer to cope afterwards....

I wish Australian defamation laws were closer to actual practice in the community.
For every threat we get, I'd really like to be able to say something rude and nasty, but instead we start thinking about whether our houses are on the line ... again ... for a post barely anyone saw (and many of them I don't get to see - so quick are some of the thread deletions).
The only thing I know for sure is that fat cat lawyers will get richer. They're probably on the phone right now to get that jacuzzi installed in the pool boy's 50 square "cabin" by winter to keep wife #4 happy. I sure as hell know that although the pool boy might have a more comfy place to screw the boss's wife when its cold, both the litigant and us will be far, far poorer no matter which way it turns out.
I'm so close to pressing the "off" switch. I know Jim is, as well.

hey everyone!
just got home from mossvale (hours drive) working at a wedding reception. i got hit on by the bride's daughter! hell yeah! she was hot too! and i now have her number. The bride had a photo of her and the groom in front of my dud dub! i was so honoured
a 14 year old girl got so drunk she fell over twice (olds were feeding her booze not me) and the 'ghost' theme song came on a couple went to their room to shag... eeew!
on the way home a long patch of recently tarred road kicked a rock into one of my disk brakes... now i need to get that replaced. stopped in mittagong on the way home to pick up smokes to find a bloke gettin put n the back of a paddy wagon for harassment.
all in all a fun night, 5pm-1am shift at a much better rate than the teaching gig gives me enough money to fix my dub in one night. im sending a u2u to clarkey to buy the bits i need off of him right now, then another to pyro to buy his services.

on another note... having macintosh problems are so much more challenging than having windows problems. heres how:
on a windows system, if you fuck something up, you can usually get it back with a few hours of brute force and some funky programs.
on a macintosh, if you fuck something up... you better have a second hard drive, or hope you know someone who is good at unix.
if anyone is planning to be a future mac user, a word of advice: dont use filevault, unless you have something on your machine that needs to be kept protected... more chances of right royally fucking something up.:cry:cry:cry

one day someone asked me why i liked kids so much...i very seriously said...they taste just like chicken and then walked off...poor woman didn't know what to do.
So when my son said it to his friends...and then preceeded to ask his friend if the pie he was eating tasted like chicken or what...his friend choked and needed some water...quickly....lol

my family think ihave cruel and unusual punishments...
my nephew once gave his mother hell for two weeks whilst i stayed there...then one day she told him i had to pick him up from school...she had to work late...
So I turned up at his school...fluffy slippers, smoke in mouth...floral nightgown and terry towelling dressing gown...then proceeded to ask all the kids his age where he was...
When he saw he saw me...he was so embarrased....
He ducked for cover in major way...
My daughter however was rolling round laughing...asking where i got my NEW dress...and how sexy it made me look...she asked if she could have a ciggy...she was 5..to her it was just dress up..
he was so shamed...but after that, he didn't often mouth off at his mum....if he did, she'd ask him if he wanted me to pick him up....

i went to the pub and showed them my LEGAl id....
i'd been going to same club for 3 years and not asked once...i think it's cause i snuck in with my old TAFE friends, and hide behind big theo...
nows theres a memory i had forgotten for many years...
I member theos car breaking down ALL the time...and at about 1.00am, we jumped in, and went to coast...and it broke down at jupiters casino....it was 5.00am. So i ended up playing football with the boys until 8.00 (we were all broke students and they had already lost heaps thru the pokies....(I had won $160.00 with Theo, who made me promise not to tell))
Then someone came over, fiddle with some cable, and we headed home....rocked in at 9.30am...and mum said
U know this is my worst nightmare...u, 4boys, and a wagon...
hehe...looking back i guess it was every parents nightmare....only thing in my favour was 'big theo' was there to protect me...if anyone picked on me...had to talk to him first...ever met a guy 6.7 and about 120kg...damn scary....
one guy at tafe tried to hurt me...and not in a good way...theo and his friends found out...i never saw the guy again...he never returned to TAFE
5 girls and over 700 blokes...talk about being pampered..lol

*grumbling* stupid people at work who turn up when they are feeling green *grumble grumble* pass it on and share the love with everyone else before being sick and going home *grumble grumble burp* thankyou for giving me a day off, but could it perhaps have been one where i could keep my food down?
does anyone else have fools like these working with them? if i feel sick, i dont go to work to give everyone else what i have, i stay home for a day and take care of myself to feel better... doesnt seem like anyone at my work thinks in this way.... quite stupid really, they get paid sick days!
i have uni at 8am... who would like to place bets on wether i make it to uni tommorow or not? hehehe :P :P

i used to work in a place where the owkrer thought u were 'one in a million' for coming into work when sick...until boss put the straight...
I had different ideas....if u were sick, and dtayed home, one person was sick...if u came in and spread it round, 10 would get sick...they take it home, their family was sick.
Once their were 4 of us :repuke at once...and my mum came over to help me out (she never go sick..1 sick day in 20 years....no other sick...)
Anyway, that was when I complained to boss about it...
the thought it over for the week, and then pulled us inot a meeting and raised hell.
"if you are sick, stay home. If u come in sick, I will send u home. You will just be wasting petrol, and parking money turning up. And yes I can do it. I will have you noted as unfit for duty, and if necessary send u to medical officer. So save urself time, and just stay home. I do not need u. Not one of u is so important that our lives stop unless you come in. ...blah blah blah."
Best speech he ever gave I reckon...and he would give it to everyone who joined the team...
He had to turn ppl out 2/3 times following that so they understood...but ppl stop turning up sick after a very short while....the thing was, the amount of sick days being taken dropped. The snowball effect had been stopped.

The first one won't happen, i'm not that lucky. as for the 2nd one it's already happened. I wasn't there (damn) but at one of the servos where I work a guy in his Bombadore had it catch fire on the driveway.:thumb wish I was there.

boss and i weer working on car...someone car screaming in with car on fire...I raced for extinguisher, boss put it out...
but the funny part was the guy who was booked in for a job had come in reit at that tme, saw the other blokes car on fire, and reversed back out drive...speedy gonzalous in reverse...
bloke with car on fire was going...shit shit shit shit shit shit...
boss and i cracked up...in office of course...
spend next day rewiring his damn car...i was not happy...boss sat at my feet cracking up even more....don't cut the blue wire...it sets the bomb off...
u can't tell the color of any damn wire when their burnt that bad...
but the boys were nice enough to drink me drinks......BTW, i had to work OUTSIDE...without cover, onto bitument.....all the car spaces undercover were taken...and it was 35degree outside..

dont know didnt go...but planning it for next year...
after convincing myself i had to stay home to care for the kids as its a family kind of time of the year....and then THEY took off...almost flew out on saturday nite, but gave up bout 7pm...
so anyway TOLD THEM ALL...already ....mummy is NOT goig to be here next year...Shes going to NATS, and they all went have fun, we're not going ...teenagers!!!

He sits upon his throne caressing his thoughts
Close thine eyes they whisper unto his mind
Comfortless in his self wrought corruption

To clocks of another tower
Ticking out of time
A peaceful melody
In a happy palace of brunette skies
Where to touch the earth is to taste the world
