Im having troubles with my internet, when i try and sign into my Hotmail to check emails in comes up with a seach page and this is the same with a few other accounts. Its has also affected my msn causing me to be unable to sign in. its like a pop up seach page. Maybe someone here has had the prob before and could help me.

M8, sounds like a virus/ad-ware issue to me, download ad-aware personal edition and scan your PC!!

yeah could be above but could be the version of java u are running try updating or try netscape

Ive done the first 2 awhile ago and updated them but still no go. What was that about java? thanks people

mozilla firefox is a fantastic browser, it stops basically all useless popups, and is totally free..I urge everyone here to try it..
Cheers, its seems as all popups are gone and now it comes up with a "page cannot be found" instead of the seach page. Has it something to do with the internet connection?

go into your tools/internet options and make sure there is a functional website in the homepage area.. .i use www.google.com
hmmm its very strange coz i can go to any site but when i need to sign into some sites like hotmail to check emails when you clik sign in it says "page cannot be found" when it used to come up with that seach page witch is now gone. Cheer for the tips.

try downloading "hi jack this" spybot and adaware. scan with all 3 though when scanning with hijack this be careful what you block as it doesnt only pick up nasty things but some things you need as well. then delete your temporary internet files and cookies. and download zone alarm from download.com and install it and it will pick things up trying to get out and into your computer and u can allow or block what you want.

hit the monitor with a polo mallet or reformat it if you have no further luck... a fresh reformat is always good for the soul

when it brings up a pop up or a page not found, does the url change in the browser?
have you installed one of those smiley menus or a my search bar?

i use mozilla firefox too...
awesome browser!! umm, yeh. have you tried hitting the F5 key to refresh the page??
sometimes it just forgets lol...

thanks for the help people almost had it but had some more probs its all fixed now but the bills on it ways lol. somtime ya just gotta pay. but still cheers for the help.
