Anything's possible I suppose and they are a nice set-up.
The GB would be a hassle with different mounting etc. The big problem is the shifter comes in the side on a '89 GB, not the front like a '75, so most people keep the stock GB.
Adapting the motor to the stock GB wouldn't be to hard, you just need to add the cooling etc.
'89 motors are quite expensive to re-build though, so many people go to Subaru etc motors instead.
