by big i take it u mean the elephants foot lights?.......as these were correct for that year so i say go for them.

baby_beetle ·

killakornkobb ·

i prefeer the smaller ones.. grave stone shape.. elephant foot looks too big

kombibob ·

i prefer the small but elephant feet are the correct for your bug and they now come in cool clear types so i would go for these

andrewh ·

Depends on the car. Elephant foot ones look right on stock bugs (biased much?) and really fat bugs with widened guards and big fat tyres. The small ones often look good on older bugs that have been done up nicely. All of them should look good on the car they were designed for.

It's probably best to put on the ones that are correct for that car if you're using the standard guards as they'll have the correct cutout for the light housing. This is more of a problem if you wanted to go to a smaller light I suppose. .

ruckus ·

I like the smaller ones personally. not so 80s

tombstone looks crap in my personal opinion, which is what youre asking. and the elephants foot is a ' mother can only love'... go the 62-66 style and get yourself a hella reverse light.

or if you had to chose, graft some toranas!!!! (just kidding on the last bit) :thumb
