Hansa pilsener. Half a litre at a time. For those of us with no time to brew anymore, its mothers milk in summer. Give me Ruddles County Ale in winter, and anything inbetween in Autumn and Spring. I got given a case of Crown (shudder) the other day for a music performance I did. I went straight to my old work and swapped it for Hansa...

as the sig suggests. vodka, any type really. used to love 'black death', came with a skull and cross bone as a label. was like 90 proof, but you cant get it here now.

ha i forgot, (alcohol does this to you it believe) ive got some of the best firs water inthe cabinet at the moment. ts called schwarz wald teufel, made by weis. otherwise known as blackforest devil or 'firewater'. comes form germany and is 51% proof. one of the best shot drinks yo can have, very smooth and with a huge kick

Guinness (I'm surprised I can still drink it after 14 pints in 4 hours on my bucks night)
Absinthe - something attractive about a drink which was illegal for so long
Stolly - straight out of the bottle that is kept in the freezer
Long Island Iced Tea - hot nights at a bar - should only be drunk outdoors and in mixed company
Black Zambucca Hoovers - gas gets tot he brain quicker than liquid!

im not a fan of any rum at the moment. they had a special on recently, so every year 10 kid bought a sh!tload and got hammered the night of their formal. i had to drive little brother home so i stayed for the party, only to fill up a loungeroom with passed out 15 year olds. the upside is that these kids didnt know how to drink properly, so when they respectively passed out i collected the booze, which i swapped older brother for 3 six packs of coopers draught an a botttle of champagne! suckers

nothing on earth beats a ice cold carlton draught on tap. Im lucky enough to have a temprite at home, which means I can pour beer out of the keg into pots at home, it gets dangerous in summer !!

Laphroaigs. The only scotch whiskey for me. It is my friend I say. Don't mind a Baileys, and most Belgian beer 9% and up!!! Love black Sambucca too and Grappa.

the absinthe u can buy now is nothing like the origional that was banned.....they mostly claim to contain woomwood or "Artemisia absinthium" but the ones that actually have it in there are in such small portions that its unnoticable. the good stuff had strange drug like properties which gave you a high........now ive just got to get some Artemisia absinthium into the country...........

The wormwood is gone from almost all absinthe. The green stuff I have is from Prague, whereas the Pernod stuff is from Adelaide (well thats where I bought it anyway). Even in the Czech Rep its very hard to get absinthe with wormwood (as I think its illegal there as well) but I am not saying it can't be done as someone can always prove me wrong on that.
I never drank anything higher proof than rum before I went to Bosnia, now I like stuff up to 95%!! mmmmmmm, wonder if I can claim that as a work related affliction?
