311.119.225.

Is this a type 3 engine number?

If so from what model and year?

Cheers Steve

It's a Type 3 motor from a Fastback. Not sure of year.

Have a check of this link....

Squiz....

Where exactly was this no on the engine. The engine no itself on a type 3 is on the right case half, just in front of the fan housing. They follow a letter/number format eg U0XXXXXX, or T0XXXXXX or similar.

the number is on the fan housing, perhaps it's the part no for that.

will check again...not sure if it's a type 1 coverted to type 3...

PurpleT3 ·

Yep, that will be the P/N for the fan housing.

OK! TO478648

7/67 fastback

1600 TP 12v

Correct? Yes/No

Yep looks about right. Built sometime after 7/67. To find out exactly what date the car was built you need the chassis no. I don't think engines had unique numbers, but I could be wrong.
