Well, here I am in Riga, the capital of Latvia, lots of 'mordernish' cars as they need to be reliable I presume coz of the snow for a large protion of the year. I haven't seen any old beetles yet, but I've seen a Mk 3 Golf wagon and a VW 'Caddy' (I think, which has the dimentions slightly larger than that of a Holden Combo...) Seen a couple of Caravelles too, getting around in the -5 to -2 weather.
Beautiful place, so I'm gonna go check it out some more instead of being on the net.
