What about Sydney?

I've noticed that alot of VW Type 1 restoration institutions are in other cities, what about Sydney? I'm fairly new to the VW world and am interested in fixing up my Bug, but have no idea where to start looking or who to contact. I want to know who's good, and who to avoid, and what people have done and where, so that future budding young dubbers can have a starting point for their research. Anyone feel like pitching in a comment, just shove it down below.

If you want a one stop shop then i guess you cant go past Vintage Vee Dub

Personally for suspension and motor and accesories i cant go past V Force

where in sydney are u at im near campbelltown. volkshaven is good, as well as ray rofe. spotted a vw specialist near moorebank the other day but i didnt get the name, the building is purple.

I live Berowra, which is Upper Upper North Shore (which is odd as it's a hole). All of the good stuff (heck, even the bad and mediocre) seem to congregate around the south west...which is a bitch to get to.

Hi E, You might be better off going to Newcastle or the central coast. There's a lot of good cars there..

Lots of Beetles in Riverstone, Kellyville and surrounds too! I have a restored Type 1. There are severalin this area, parts and the like too.
