Long gone SPEEDWAY!!

We made this site about 2 years ago when we had the speedway goin crazy, every afternoon we would have atleast 3 bikes and a car goin nuts stirring up the dust in mortlake. This is where my brother and I learnt to drive sideways in the city. The police used to come down and stop and watch and then drive off like there was nothing happening! We also know the ranger so most calls of complaint were forgotten about LOL.. We had a 71 super that we rebuilt that we rebuilt the motor and put type 3 torsion bars in the rear comodore rear springs in the front and she was all jacked up and stiff! then we had a kingswood with no pannels forwards of the front doors soo we had to mount the radiator sideways to make it work.. last a while till the wheels had about 5 degrees of camber, then we had a barena that we put 6 ppl in and thrashed it around till it cooked itself, then we had a shortened swing axle chassis with a roll cage and 1600 that was a hand full to handfull ton handle down the back straight, then we had a super bug chassis that someone had just cut the body off around the strut towers so we put a cage on it and and had endless fun, and just lately we had a VH wagon that we made a mess of pretty bad!! lol

lol no i got nothing to hide. Thats why im on a VW site not a Holden as you can see i love holdens lol

great fun. Tried the same in a back paddock, but, umm, found the ditch pretty quick then the boss got the shi**s with us doing it 🙁

Speedway is Great, but like any motorsport, can cost heaps...
I have discovered a cheap alternative that IS the most fun you can have with your pants on, (unless you leave them up and just do it with your fly open)...:P

Quarter Midgets or Formula 100, 125 or 250, depending on what state or territory you're from...

These cars are the baby version of Speedcars and whilst engine sizes vary depending on rules and regs from state to state, they are still The Cheapest open wheel speedway car you can buy, with Ready to Race cars starting from as little as $1500.oo...!!!

I currently have a new car being built and am Really looking forward to getting this baby on the track.. Here's a pic taken during the build, some body panels are not fitted so it looks a little bare here..

And one of me in a loan car for the day of the Final meeting at Bibra Lake Speedway, before it was closed down after 42 YEARS of racing, to make way for a F#@!%*g Rubbish dump...!!!

These cars are a very simple design and construction... Many parts are from go-karts and they (in WA) run a 100cc 2 stroke go-kart engine, (although trials are about to begin on a 125cc water cooled 2 stroke), But don't let that fool you... These little suckers are good for about 100 Kilometers per Hour, which should be Plenty fast enough with your butt 4 inches off the track and a pack of up to 20 others all trying to get to the same spot as you... (The front of the pack)...!!!

Great Fun... Trophies, Prizes, Prize Money, and all the fun of speedway, on a go-kart budget...
