WOOOt!!! just got news today that i got a full time apprenticeship with fords as a technician. 😀 sure its only about 300 bucks a week. but i am 17, live at home and have no bills to pay. so guess where most of that money will be going?? THATS RIGHT..YOU GUESSED IT..STRAIGHT INTO THE BUG..i can already smell the 13bt. mmmmm

I can now scrap the measley coles checkout chick job that brought in 40 bucks a week if i was lucky. that was barely enought o live on. let alone fix my poor old bug..

woohoo. start on the 17th of january..should be good....and im sure the FI skills that i learn will come in handy for my own project. hehe will be funny. pulling into a ford place to goto work with an old beetle. i can just see myself copping flack from the other workers about it...but ya know what...they can say that as i blow on by them in that little german chick magnet 😉

hehe. sorry. im just real excited

sell ya bug, buy a bay window ute and mide mount an XR6T motor in it. mmm, cheap parts, give all the FPV drivers a scare. 🙂

Good on ya mate-will be working on some good Aussie iron there.I did my early training under the Blue Oval as well.Does anybody know if the other mob have yet to offer any of their motors with overhead camshafts??????Last I heard they were still into the 1930's technology and using pushrods like our little aircooled wonders.
