as some of you may know, on Sunday february 13, 2005
the MG Club of NSW will be holding the 2nd Annual Euro Classic car show in lambton Park in Newcastle.
Last year there was over 250 vintage european cars, but only 4 Beetles, pushed to the back where no one could find us. This infuriated me, and got me to thinking...
Der Neuburg Volks Klub wants YOU!
we will need the help of every dub and club in newcastle and surrounding areas. I put it to the Flat 4 club, VWHS and Club Veedub and any other club and Dub owner to organise ur troops for a huge assault on the Euro Show.
ive given u 2 months notice. im talking at least 50-100 dubs this time, a big slice of the pie. itll b sure to draw a huge crowd and show em wat VWs r made of.
Lets do it!
so, ill leave it to u all to consider, leave ur thoughts here and we'll get this thing rolling...

g'day Sam, it's Martin.
PS all went well with the beetle, finally got the CV changed jus as it started to rain, awesome lightning. I think I owe ryan a case for the driving effort. Thanks guys for the support =D I'll take it easier next time.. its hard tho in that thing.. the temptation to knock it back a gear and floor it... cant wait for the racing =D

Yea shes driving fine now, I have to clean out and repack those cv's. Ordered power pulley from vintage yesterday, arrived today (cheers to aussie post for the effort, xmas n awl!!) and have to slap on the elec ignition, she should be ready to run for the hillclimb on the 30th. Gear shift needs a seeing too too. All good fun!

Achtung! yes ammo packs will be handed out to all comrads! consisting of ear plugs ( so when old blokes come up to you and ramble on about how they had one of these vw's when they where 20 years old and they used to get it up to 70mph going to sydney and tell you how dangerous they are Ha!) also included in the shittzenhouzen pack will be two frankfurts( so you have something to mung on when checking out all the ferraris and lambos and saying to your self, volksies had the motor in the back first!) and the german translation table, which is:

😎I do have information on the Bulli show at the workshop and will get it for you tomorrow . Don't get too excited though , the show will not be at Bulli showground , there is only an all vw display at a nearby park and I dont think any trophys will be awarded . No band , jumping castle , etc .

Someone has put the wild idea into Rod's head to stay at the Crowne Plaza in Terrigal, so we will be nice and pampered for the trip .......
Santa bought Rod a video camera for christmas so should be fun to film to cruise down (or is it up ?)

just got some info on the euro day.
the organisers have stated that all cars be in the area by 9am, we may be able to squeeze them to 9:30.
u will just have to get out of bed earlier! the traffic will be lighter on the road if they get up here by 8:30
it will also look so much cooler if we all rolled up together and we can get a good spot in the middle of everyone too, not down the back shoved behind all the fiat's
