Thought i would put some pics of my Germany trip that my wife and I plus 25 other VW nuts from the VWCV did in October of last year (sounds so long ago now!). We had a absolute ball to say the least, the weather was great, the Bier was fantastic and the VW scene was the best. Here is a small number of pics to wet the apetite.
The VW places we went to were:
Wolfsburg - Factory (VW Mecca), Museum, Autostadt
Kassel - Factory (Gearboxes, spare parts warehouse etc)
Hanover - Factory (Type 2)
Osnabrueck - Karmann Factory, Museum
Dresden - Pheaton Factory
Ingolstadt - Audi Factory and Museum
These are only a few of many interesting places on our 23 day tour around Germany. This country is fantastic and i would recommend anyone to make the trip of a lifetime. This is my 2nd trip there and i still havn't taken it all in, thats why we will go again next year 馃檪
I'll keep posting pics when i come across more on my PC. I have about 1500 photo's from our trip to go through 馃槧

This split is number 3 off the factory floor!, not sitting in a museum collecting dust...... but driving on a rally in Dresden, and we happened to be there!! As well as other classics like the type 3 convertable prototype as well as early type 1 cab, deluxe bus, SP2 coupe, 356's, porsches ect.

the cab in austostadt that they claim is the only one produced in 1938, is the one ferry porsche drove hitler around in at the placing of the quater stone in wolfsburg - they made it a one off with double the horse power of the production beetle, to make it look more appealing, and more fun for ferry to drive馃檪

Is this not the coooooooolest Scooter you have seen????? This was parked next to our motel in Wolfsburg and in Mint restored condition, it is a Henkel Tourist scooter..... a classic scoot in anyones language, what a beauty. Whos that thug touching it??? Bloody tourists :P

More of the number 3 beetle made in 1939! this is one rare car. These where in the Dresden Classic Rally with other very rare and unique cars that would be worth a squillion. They started the leg of the rally at the VW glass factory where they make the VW Pheaton.

Made at VW Brasil these SP2 coupe are the ducks nuts i think, cool and very ahead of it's time (Type 3 running gear from memory), why did they not take off as popular as a KG? I know what i would like.
