Fleur backed the beetle into a power pole last night and f'd the rear bar. I just cant keep up with this. It is all nice and resprayed etc and she has to keep hurting it.

Why Why Why?

I mean, the power pole was not a small thing, it was like basically just there. Three point turn and in the middle of it 'bang'

She didn't tell me until late in the evening.

Buy her a Volvo, this type of driving is mandatory for Volvo ownership!!

Sorry to hear that the Beetle has been hurt again.

i agree, its volvo time.
not that theres anything wrong with volvos (i love them) but they can take that sort of punishment.
example:

one morning i drove to work after a restless nights sleep, and drove back home even more tired.
went to turn into my driveway, thought i had the angle right but heard a soft "doonk" when i turned.
oh shit, i thought, theres something wrong with the car! my friend is going to kill me!!
got out to find the offending noise so i could tell him what to fix.

turns out i had knocked over a 3foot besser block fence (the doonk sound) without even putting a scratch on the volvo!!

on the other hand, whenever my friend drives my beetle theres ALWAYS a new scratch on it... you just cant drive a vw the way you can drive a volvo!

Hmmmmm and Fleur reckons I don't do enough around the house. It is full time work just keeping her fleet going. With the Helbus, Beetle and her motorbike I am always fixing, cleaning, polishing, tuning :blah

Sounds terribly familiar...:jesus
