Close with the Torana tail light. They are HJ-Z lights. Definitley looks like a vehicle trying desperatley to be in the rod and also the ricer crews. A double agent 🙂

Perhaps the pipes that don't do anything are a bit over the top, but otherwise I think it looks pretty tough.
It is a typical look a young person would aim for.

OK.. Someone has had a spasm of creative flair and done something seriously wrong in the eyes of the so called "purists".. Personally Lake pipes don't offend me.. Probably better if they were connected to something.. Next time we see a bug with an outrageous spoiler or over the top rear wing in a stock 12 or 1300 are we going to be so offended?..

I must admit.. Year ago I went for a circuit spin in the passenger seat of a notch mustang (about 70's vintage).. It had lake pipes attached off a seriously worked V8.. The V8 boys have something special to play with.. Jealous.. Yes!

myself i think thats very narrow minded, dont get me wrong i think it looks crap but thats just what i think and at the end of the day its a vw so its better than most out there. everyone has there own tastes in what a cool look is and you have to respect them for it.
how would you feel if everyone looked at you car and all the work you have done to it and went ewww thats shit, its ugly its a fucking joke??? sure who ever did it has not put a lot of thought and i would say time into doing it but remmeber not everyone has the skills to do a bare metal resto or the money to fund it. sometimes you do what you can , look back and pat yourself on the back for doing a job as i am sure the person who built this car did.....
i have a respect for any make of car if someone has put there heart into it , ricers, hotrods, whatever, i mite not like that cars but i can see the effort that has gone into it as i know the effort i put into my cars and have been doing for the past 17 odd years and i respect that u knows....
narrow mindness is what make the scene a laughing stock, other groups look at vws and go ewww they are shit,slow, funny looking etc etc and what do we say about them???
all i am saying is think about it before you openly attack someones cars.. u dont have to like a car but instead of just plain insulting it and the owner just say not my cup of tea etc....

The rodders know a Volkswagen that has had real effort, creativity or passion put into it and appreciate them. Shit, some hardcore rodders are even giving me hints with my bettle project and can't wait until I cruise with them - these are guys with nationally recognised rods.
They also know lazy stick ons passing themselves on as modified cars.

I have never criticised an ugly piece of shit that has had even a modicum of effort passed its way, hell I would even praise the effort (just not the styling). But when something is done with no effort or thought it deserves to get a solid dissing!

dude you are missing the point to some people the effort of putting on any parts is a massive challange and to them when they do it its the most ownderfull thing in the world... just becasue in your eyes its lazy and cheap or what ever does not make it so.. shit i had a mate who wanted to fit his own head unit and it took him 4 hours and he used a pair of bloody scissors and sticky tape but he was so proud of himself as to him it was a massive job.. to me it was "what the fu*k" but i know and have the skills to do it right, he didn't... thats my point...

mmmm i would have thought that a fair bit of effort and thought went into getting them lights frenched in at the back like that... sure its a simple mod really but once again.. to some its major.......... and even tho is not that hard to do a few hours would have been soent doing it .. so there is thought and effort..... .. ...
