i can see the value, its one of those panels with a window cut into it, oh and its one of those no wheels models is that factory. this would be cool to cut that thing between the windscreens out and put a late screen into it ,very cool project i like it

Rob...😎
BenettonVW ·
Geez I am glad you put the second pic in.. I wasn't going to buy it if it didn't have a rear seat.. The front seats aren't that important, but the rear... phew..
The only thing stopping me from buying this is that I would have nowhere to mount my swampy.. Without that I don't think the air could circulate enough.. (I think it is one of those geometric things..)
Sorry Dave to kick your tyres..
57kombi ·
See , you are all dreamers.
You whinge for a split and I go to extreme hardship offering to sell one of my collection and you pick faults with it.
O.K., I will admit it needs a bit of a tidy up, but what do you expect for $10,000.
Theres no pleaseing some people.

Is that a Lambretta headset peering out from among the extras.
Now if there is a Lambretta included in the sale $10K does not sound too bad !!!!
t2 ·
was this the 57 at early stages of resto when dave was going to put the spa in and make the top of the v section hinge open , isnt the 57 held together with deluxe trim and silicon now, thats so bad ass
ClassicVW(pacific) ·
hahahahahahaha
is the silicone acidic. If it is then there will be some serious rust problems
t2 ·
daves bus is still a bargain 30k then all you will need to spend is around 20k on a resto , roy do you sell top half cuts
57kombi ·
To tell you the truth, this is my bus now.
It seems that I used the wrong type of silicon to seal the screws when I fitted the deluxe trim( purchased from Classic vw (pacific)).
Even though I sprayed inside the holes with fish oil, and the silicon was for outside use in wet conditions, it must have reacted with the steel and the shovel loads of bog and rusted the bus away over night.
The pictures I have been posting over the last month are old ones as I was too ashamed to admit I had used the wrong type of silicon.I knew I should have used wrigleys juciy fruit
Any one got a cheap bus for sale?????

57kombi ·
I am that hippy.

Hey Dave do you have any better photos? the one you have is not all convincing actually it looks like the rockers might need replacing and photos help!
Are those two pannels that resemble corregated iron, repair sections for the carge floor? Does this mean that the floor is rusty? are they Hardings? What is your low price? do you have the clips/ rubbers for the front badge?
Regards
Mitcl
57kombi ·
Sorry but for the price, what you see is what you get,
I cannot be bothered answering ALL the e-mails I have had regarding this as it is such a low price, first with the cash gets it,
or first with a half a stubbie, which ever is first.
Cheers
Dave
P.S. still waiting for that 1 in a million sucker.
voltz ·
Dave:
would you part it out ?
Im kinda keen on that sheet of corrugated iron
57kombi ·
As I have said at this price I do not intend to do any work or even help move it, Iron does not come with the bus, that is for display purposes only, If you want the iron we can negotiate a separate price on top of the purchase of the bus.
Cheers
Dave
kroozzn63 ·
well all things aside the emblem ,the door, i would like but 10gs is a bit steep
57kombi ·
O.K I am open to offers now.
Please dont try to put anyone off with bad comments, I might get lucky and might snag a newbie.
Cheers
Dave
mattie ·
wheres my steak knives dave? havent eaten for weeks gotta get me those wheels
bugeyedbabe ·
Darn it!
I wanted a bus for so long, and this so meets my requirements. I'd only take a month or so to get it on the road..right??
Problem is, I just got another beetle.
But since ur taking offers....how about 1/2 a stubby. U get the rest of the stubby once u ship it up here for me. I promise.
No....oh well i tried.
And I was a genuine buyer too. Not just a tyre kicker (actually I don't think anyone could be a tyre kicker on this one could they?? lol
