The kombi looks real similar to mine. I am guessing it is a 73 given the high indicators and forward tilting westy conversion? The only obvious differences are the colour of the curtains and the fact that mine has white headlights and yours chrome but all this could have been changed later.

How old are the photos? Any other distinguishing features that you know of? I would be interested to know too if it was once yours as I have not been able to find out much about its history.

it was owned in the 80s i think, should have more info soon, they were my, dads dads cars, if i can ill put my mums dads on here but i dont think he kept photos of them,

if it is the same, congrats u have a bus thats bin all over aus

the bus was german made to be exported to south africa but ended up in england with the camper conversion, was brought 2 australia, then did numerous trips around australia, the beetle is a 57 oval window, single exhaust tip, dunno much else, looks like ill never know about them

If the oval had a single exhaust tip with no cutouts for twin pipes in the rear apron it's a 55 or earlier! twin pipes came out in 56.

thats just what ive bin told about this one, hes old, probably got alzheimers or something, its a good enuf excuse, besides hes owned 100 plus cars over the years
